How long does it take from application to final inspection?

There is no single number, because three separate clocks run in sequence and only one of them is fixed by rule.

Design typically takes a few weeks, depending on your site evaluator's schedule and how complex the site is.

**Permit review is the one with a rule behind it: the permitting authority must approve or deny within 30 days of receiving a complete application.** Thirty days is the right number for planning purposes. Larger or non-standard systems may also go to TCEQ after the county review, which adds time.

Installation then depends on your installer's availability and the weather, plus the inspection itself, which has to be scheduled.

Plan the whole thing generously and start early. Almost every delay we see traces back to someone setting a move-in date before the site evaluation was booked.
